Start of a sustainable lifestyle

Have you ever wondered how all of us harm\damage the environment around us in our day-to-day lives??,  From waking up in the morning to sleeping at night, we do many things, some of them are a part of our 'needs' or instead we can say that we cannot survive without them. There are many things that we do unknowingly or we can say those are the subconscious beliefs that may/ may not be given to us by our society. Also, the things that are a part of our 'wants' or instead we can say those things that we desire\ crave. Well, there are other actions \things we do that are excluded from these 3 main topics.
So, I am starting this journey of living sustainably. Well, this will of course take some time to recondition my mind and get adjusted to this sustainable lifestyle. I will start focusing on sustainable alternatives to all the activities I do each day.
  DAY -1, 5TH JUNE 2021 ( WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY)

What's the first thing you do just after you wake up?
It is okay if your answer is using your mobile phone/social media. if we take an average, most of the people around you do the same thing, using mobile phones. Even I used to do that before, but, You might be wondering how is this even related to the environment or living sustainably?
Well, Let me tell you how it is very much related!!

Let me give you an example,
have you ever been on an empty road? You can drive easily and reach your destination smoothly without much interruption in between, isn't it? . Now, if suddenly a lot of vehicles come on the road from different directions and move in different directions, will that make your journey more peaceful? of course not!.

Now relate this example with your own body and mind. When you wake up in the morning, your mind is in a relaxed state with the least no. of thoughts. Now, if you use your mobile just after you wake up, it will bombard you with tons of information which in turn will generate tons of thoughts in your mind. Will that make your day throughout easy?? Think about it!
How can you make this world a better place to live with a disturbed mind? Each action\decision that you would take throughout the day will be from the disturbed mind, and can a disturbed mind take sustainable decisions/actions? THINK ABOUT IT!

So what to do after waking up?
You need to train your mind, you need to choose your conditioning. When you wake up in a relaxed state of mind, you can choose what you need to consume, this choice is only available if you have a relaxed mind and you can choose the way it will functions. So choose your conditioning!
Go out in the sunlight and just close your eyes. No, you don't have to think about anything specifically, also you don't have to control your thoughts. Just close your eyes for a minute and breathe. As you open your eyes just generate a thought

' I accept that I am responsible for climate change and I will try my best to recondition my mind to live a sustainable life ahead'.

The moment you accept that you are responsible, you begin to change. You need to feel the very depth of this thought to live consciously.
So, I read about so many alternatives to our daily activities, and also I thought about some on my own. I would be sharing more such alternatives in the next blogs.
I will try to switch to these alternatives each day and progress into a sustainable lifestyle!
Don't think about the change , Be the change

The Future of Food: Is Lab-Grown Meat the Answer?

Introduction The world's population is booming, and our hunger for meat is growing right along with it. But here's the thing – raising all those animals takes a huge toll on our planet. Lab-grown meat, also called cultured meat, could be a game-changer. It's made by taking cells from an animal and growing them in a lab, which uses way less land, water, and energy. It's not on supermarket shelves yet, but it could totally transform how we eat and help us be kinder to the Earth. The Environmental Impact of Traditional Meat Production Think about all the resources that go into raising animals for meat – the land for grazing, the water they drink, the feed they eat. It adds up to a lot of greenhouse gases, deforestation, and water pollution. Lab-grown meat could help us shrink that footprint big time. How Lab-Grown Meat is Made Scientists take a few cells from a cow, chicken, or pig – just a tiny sample. Then, they put those cells in a special mix of nut...
